The Sangre de Cristo Arts Center promises high-quality instructors for all classes. The majority of our classes are taught by practicing, professional artists. School of Arts classes and workshops are open to students of all ages and skill levels. Our programs are for anyone who has a desire to learn and engage in a personal or professional commitment to art studies.

Education Classes for Kids & Adults

Education is an integral part of the Arts Center’s mission, and our three-building complex provides a variety of studio and classroom spaces. Over 100 arts and leisure classes are offered per quarter for adults and children. These classes span from single day workshops to several weeks of learning in a vast range of topics and skills. The Arts Center also offers a variety of courses for educators.  Search for classes online 

Workshops & Parties

Make-Your-Own Pottery Party (for kids or adults) with Jarrett Pottery, Potters-in-Residence
Design your own fun with friends and family. Get together in the 3rd-floor Pottery Studio at the Arts Center and create your own artwork to fire, glaze, and keep for lasting memories. Customize a class for your group! 
With assistance from the Sangre de Cristo School of Arts, design your own class, workshop, team-building artwork, or a professional development event. Design a new workshop or enhance your existing program for creative growth in your business, school, or organization! Examples include group mural painting, creative clay work, improvisational comedy, and much more. General Policies

  • No refunds will be given for students who miss class (sick, quarantined, vacation, or otherwise).  However each class will offer at least 2 online (Google Classroom) lessons for anyone to access at any time, to help families maintain connection to the learning if a child has to miss a class.  Note:  These classes require a google account to access.
  • Refunds will only be given if the Arts Center cancels class.  However, refunds will not be given if class is cancelled due to a COVID/pandemic related closure.  Classes have been created to account for this possibility and will immediately move to Zoom/Google Classroom options should this type of closure occur.
  • If a family has been exposed to COVID 19, we ask that you stay home and quarantine for the suggested 14 days.

Private Lesson - All general policies apply, plus:

  • Private lessons must are monthly, and require payment in advance.
  • Please call 24 hours ahead if you will not be in attendance. If the Arts Center is given 24 hour notice, you may reschedule your private lesson (provided your instructor has availability).
  • If a student does not call within 24 hours and misses class (or is a no show), the student forfeits the lesson and payment.  No refund or reschedule will be permitted.
