Past Shows From This Season:

Voices of Comedy with Lynn Trefzger

1 pm | Saturday, October 1, 2016 | Tickets $8 ($7 Arts Center Members)

Voices of Comedy is a one-woman ventriloquist act featuring a unique cast of supporting characters including Judd the grumpy old man, Chloe the precocious little girl, Buford W. Bear, and Camelot the lovable camel. For more than 30 years, Lynn Trefzger has performed for international audiences in corporations, colleges, theatres, and as a premier entertainer for Disney Cruise Lines.  She is featured in a recently released comedy/documentary about the art of ventriloquism with Jay Johnson and Jeff Dunham called “I’m No Dummy” by NBC Universal.  Accolades include the "People's Choice Award," "Comedy Entertainer of the Year," and "Variety Entertainer of the Year."

"Without a doubt Lynn Trefzger is one of the best ventriloquists in the history of this art form. A true star in the comedy world.”

- Bryan W. Simon, Director of the feature film I'm No Dummy

"Her technique and timing are flawless; her characters Camelot and Chloe are charming; and most importantly, she's funny. But the element of her act that I admired most was that she made it all look so effortless, when I know for a fact that being a ventriloquist is far from easy."

- Annie Roberts, Vent Haven Show, 2014

James and the Giant Peach [Phamaly]

1 pm | Saturday, February 11, 2017 | Tickets $8 ($7 Arts Center Members)

Adapted for stage in 2004 from the book James and the Giant Peach, by Roald Dahl, the author of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, this story centers around James, a young boy who discovers a magic potion that leads to an unforgettable adventure!  Although the plot departs from the events in the book, the adaptation honors the spirit of Dahl's original material.  The Phamaly Theatre Company produces multiple plays and musicals annually for the Denver Metro region.

"James and the Giant Peach is magical sweetness. . . something that can make a musical theater lover squeal with delight . A wonderfully touching show. . . filled with heart. Whether you're a parent looking for an outing for the kids, a lover of musicals who's interested in the latest local offering, or a fan of the book, there's something here for everyone. I was absolutely delighted by the outcome."
