About the exhibition:

This exhibition of linoleum block prints is a collection of images of things she finds interesting and beautiful in nature and the world around her. Pastimes of fishing and gardening provide subject matter as well as ideas gained from birds at the feeder or field trips with other artists to interesting places.

Ramona is an Art Teacher at Mountainside Elementary School located on Ft. Carson Army Base.  Her studio is located at the Manitou Springs Art Center in Manitou Springs, CO.  She is a graduate of Concordia University-Nebraska and The University of Wisconsin- Milwaukee.  She teaches grades K-12 art education, has taught teacher and artist workshops and courses from her studio or with Imagination Celebration, The Colorado Art Education, Arapahoe Community College, and the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay. Her prints are in numerous public and private collections and her work can be found in addition to the Sangre de Cristo art center at the Colorado Springs Fine Art Center, Lapis Gallery in Denver, and at the 45 Degree Gallery in Colorado Springs.

Special events:

Sunday, August 13 | 10 AM—5 PM:  Second Sunday with free basic admission made possible by the Union Pacific Foundation and Jane Rawlings and Carolyn Jackson in honor of Sandy Rawlings and Nancy Jackson.  Basic admission includes entrance to the Buell Childrens’ Museum and Helen T. White Galleries. Admission to special exhibit, Sordid and Sacred: The Beggars in Rembrandt’s Etchings, is half price.

Friday, September 1 | 5 PM—7 PM:  First Friday Art Walk with free admission made possible by Robinson, Waters & O’Dorisio and Koncilja & Koncilja.  Complimentary refreshments and entertainment included. Free Art Auction Catalog giveaway (while supplies last).
