Colors of the Southwest

About the exhibition:

This collection of over 90 pieces showcases the genre of such renowned artists John Nieto, Frank Howell, R. C. Gorman and more.  Visitors to this collection can expect vibrant and bold colors, Southwestern themes of Native traditions, expansive landscapes, adobe buildings, and spiritual totems like kachina dolls. “I am intrigued by the paintings of John Farnsworth inspired by kachina dolls, which represent a host of spiritual beings from the Southwestern tribal world. His composition dances across the surface of a kachina doll bringing the viewer in very close and making the doll appear larger than life.” says Jim Richerson, Executive Director of the Sangre de Cristo Arts Center.

The exhibition can be broken up into smaller exhibits.
