BEHIND THE EXHIBIT INSPIRATION: Two hundred years ago, two brothers with a penchant for collecting examples of early European folklore published a book titled Children’s and Household Tales. It contained a collection of folk tales, or “fairy tales” that would eventually become the base for much of today’s children’s literature and film, not to mention theme parks. Grimm’s Fairytales are, literally, the stuff of legends.
